Maralinga Speech
“I’m here today to apologise to all those people that were in Maralinga way back in 1953. And to all those people that have relatives, friends and family, Australia says sorry. It is one of the forgotten events to mostly aboriginal people. Lot’s of people died from the black dust and our hearts go out to those people that lost someone they loved in Maralinga. And to all those people who survived but had life sickening injures, we say sorry for not making an effort to help. And to all the young that we forgotten and to all of them who had life sickening injures. I’m proud to announce that this will be remembered in the future and that people will be glad that this event will be remembered. Thankyou”
